The Ford’s best pickup truck, the F-150 gets serious updates every now and then. Just recently, Car and Driver conducted a test and found the F-150 Limited is the second fastest pickup truck in the world. Surely, the Raptor is fast but the limited version is swifter off the line. The fastest in the world is 2004 Dodge RAM SRT-10.

The second fastest pickup truck is equipped with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine yielding 450 hp and 510 pound-feet of torque. In Car and Driver test, the F-150 Limited achieved 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The pickup was able to reach a quarter mile in 13.7 seconds at a speed of 164 km/h. Although the top speed is electronically limited, it took only 10 seconds to reach it from 129 km/h. The 2,537 kg pickup truck took only 51.2 meters to come to a complete stop with the 22-inch Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico all-season tires. The Pirelli tires are known for their great stopping power.

With such impressive performance figures, the Ford F-150 Limited costs $68,630 for the two-wheel drive version. The all-wheel-drive option costs an additional $3,425, bringing the price to $72,055, and includes additional facilities such as a laser etched number plate and two-tone leather interior with improved seats. The basic version of F-150 starts at AED 155,000 in the UAE.
