To celebrate 50 years of Hilux’s success around the world, Toyota has developed a limited-edition Hilux Invincible 50 in partnership with Arctic Trucks, the Iceland-based company offering equipment for extreme driving conditions. As the name suggests, Toyota will only develop 50 units.

The pickup truck gets a performance suspension system by Arctic Trucks and Bilstein and exclusive 16 x 7.5 ET05 alloy wheels with 265/75R16 BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires. These additions make the Hilux Invincible 50 more off-road friendly with better ground clearance. Nevertheless, these modifications do not come at the expense of on-road driving.

The styling has been improved with the custom-made wider front and rear wing treatments that strengthen the truck’s raised position and beefy character. Other improvements include a double-hoop sports bar, rear Arctic Trucks mud flaps, rear parking sensors, a hard Line-X bed liner, and a typical Toyota tailgate graphic. Furthermore, the vehicle sports 50 plaque in the cabin and Invincible chrome badging and detailing on the wings, wheels, doors, tailgate, sports bar, lighting, and interior.

The truck carries a 2.4L turbo diesel engine good for 148bhp mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The safety, convenience and connectivity are ensured through the Toyota Safety Sense with Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Warning and Road Sign Assist, cruise control, dusk-sensing headlights, Toyota Touch 2 with Go multimedia system with navigation and connectivity for getting into web-based apps, automatic air conditioning, smart entry and start and rear privacy glass.

The Toyota Hilux Invincible 50 is available on sale. The pricing details are not announced yet.
