The German automaker has recently introduced the refreshed 2019 Audi R8 with a number of cosmetic and mechanical changes. The R8 V10 comes equipped with 30 horsepower while the V10 Plus has been renamed as Performance Quattro with a 9 more horsepower. This modest bump enables it to reach 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds. The standard R8 will, however, take 3.5 seconds for the same.
The refreshed 2019 Audi R8 looks more aggressive, thanks to a bigger rear diffuser, new side skirts, and the latest LED headlights and taillights. The updated R8 borrows many of its styling cues from R8 GT3 EVO race car, which Audi revealed at the Paris Motor Show.
“With around 50 percent shared parts with the R8 LMS GT3 and even 60 percent with the R8 LMS GT4, no other automobile is so close to motor racing as the R8,” Audi Sport boss Oliver Hoffman said.
The supercar is currently under works and will be available in Europe sometime in 2019. The US debut will take place next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The availability in the US and price details are still a mystery, so stay tuned as we bring you the updates.
Presently, the 2018 R8 starts AED 554,500 in the UAE.
