The CEO of Danish auto brand, Henrik Fisker gave us the design of stunning cars like Ashton Martin DB9, BMW Z8, and others. While the automaker is currently working on EMotion electric sedan, which might launch by 2020, Fisker has buzzed about an all-electric crossover that will be far more affordable than their first offering.
Henrik reveals he might take some risk regarding the car’s design, which suggests something experimental and innovative. The automotive designer is focusing more on futuristic and multipurpose designs for its electric cars. Fisker is hoping to distinguish his company and its creations from the traditional automakers by bringing something revolutionary.
The Fisker all-electric crossover would offer a 400-mile range with its LG Chem lithium-ion battery. The company is working on developing solid-state batteries in-house, which may reach their completion sometime after 2020. That said, the automaker has not made any promises on the matter so far. The solid-state batteries may contribute to the delay of EMotion sedan’s arrival as Fisker is in favor of launching the car with solid-state batteries.
In comparison to other automakers, the Danish automaker has an upper hand on the release of solid-state batteries because they are on route to bring them quicker than other manufacturers.
There are not many details distributed regarding the project yet but Henrik has hinted that the new all-electric crossover may debut at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show.
