Nissan Middle East has introduced the refreshed Nissan Patrol MY19 for the UAE markets with two new brave colors as well as exterior accessories. These will be unique to the UAE and other select markets.

The vehicle’s rugged look and robust off-road power have won hearts of the people here. This is evident from its year-on-year boost in sales. Nissan recorded 110% increase in the first quarter of Nissan Middle East’s financial year (April – June 2018).

The two new shades, Hermosa Blue and Forged Copper Brown, make the vehicle more stylish and bold. Moreover, the SUV gets freshly styled front and rear diffusers along with grey side fenders. At the rear, it also receives an optional fresh tow hitch cover and a shiny exhaust tip. Other additions include first-class roof rails, a new metallic-slate KAD roof, and the sequential side indicators.

Juergen Schmitz, Managing Director Nissan Middle East told media: “The Nissan Patrol has become a key part of UAE culture, as demonstrated by the highly encouraging year-on-year sales increase. Whether navigating city streets or venturing off-road, the Patrol is a car that perfectly balances a distinctively stylish design with power and practicality. The new enhancements to the range, combined with the exciting and innovative Intelligent Mobility Technologies, present in all aspects of the car, will only add to its iconic reputation.”

When it comes to technology, Nissan is not behind. The Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies are reshaping the way the cars are built and driven on the road to make the journeys super comfortable and safe. The technologies include Nissan’s Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Brake Assist, Intelligent Lane Intervention and Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, and Intelligent Back-Up Intervention.

The safety facilities encompass Locking Rear Differential, Traction Control System, and Dynamic Control, which mechanically stops the Patrol from gliding sideways on slippery road surfaces. The safety is also ensured through 6 SRS Airbag System, Front Seatbelt Pretensioners and Load Limiters, Crash-sensitive Door Unlock, Active Head Restraints, Automated Hazard Warning Signal, and the automated Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

As we all know, the Patrol is built to conquer any off-road condition. The Intelligent 4×4 technology naturally adjusts between sand, on-road, snow, and rock drive modes. The Nissan Patrol MY19 also uses an advanced Hydraulic Body Motion Control System, with 4-wheel independent suspension to provide the vehicle the much-needed stability on rugged and sandy lands.

The Nissan Patrol MY19 Patrol comes with two engine options. The huge 5.6-liter V8 engine creates 400 horsepower at 5,800 rpm, with a torque rated at 57.1kg-m/4,000rpm. The 4.0-liter Patrol V6 unit renders 275 horsepower at 5,600 rpm, with a torque of 40.2kg-m/4,000rpm. The towing capacity stands at 2000 kg.

The Nissan Patrol MY19 has hit the Nissan dealerships across the UAE yesterday. The starting price is AED 181,000 (inclusive of 5% VAT). The SE & LE grades are also available in MY19 Patrol.
