The car rental company Hertz is commemorating its 100th anniversary by adding 100 new Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition Corvette Z06. These special cars will be available for rent at airports of Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Last Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco and Tampa. Customers can book the car on arrival at these locations or book through Hertz’s website portal.

Underneath the hood of the Anniversary Edition Z06 is the stock 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine which is capable of making 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The motor is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that delivers power to the 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels.

On the outside, all 100 cars will sport yellow paint finish with black stripes in the middle. Besides, the Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition Corvette Z06 will have Hertz emblems and badges in the interior and a special plaque to display the car’s model. Hertz has made it possible for underprivileged people to rent a supercar at a nominal price through its rental service.

Hertz rental business started in 1923 when John Hertz acquired Walter Jacobs’ car rental business which was begun in 1918.
