The sacred days of Hajj bring some respite for motorists as Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) declares free parking on the occasion of Eid ul Adha. The free parking will be valid from August 19 to August 24 (Sun to Fri). From the coming Saturday August 25, the usual parking tariff will come into effect. Please note, free parking does not include multi-level parking terminals.
Besides free parking announcement, RTA also declared timings for customers’ happiness centers, public buses, Dubai Metro & Tram, marine transit means, and centers of service providers (technical testing).
Customers’ Happiness center will remain closed till Thursday, August 23 and the next working day will be Sunday, August 26. However, the smart customer service center in Umm Romool will be operation round-the-clock, as customary.
The timings for Dubai Metro Stations on the Red Line are:
From Monday 20 August to Thursday 23 August from 05:00 am to 02:00 am (of the following day). On Friday (24 August) from 10:00 am to 02:00 am (of the following day), and Saturday (25 August) from 05:00 am to 02:00 am (of the following day).
The timings for Dubai Metro Stations on the Green Line are:
From Monday 20 August to Thursday 23 August from 05:30 am to 02:00 am (of the following day). On Friday (24 August) from 10:00 am to 02:00 am (of the following day), and Saturday (25 August) from 05:30 am to 02:00 am (of the following day).
The Dubai Tram service will be working from Saturday to Thursday from 06:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day), and on Friday from 09:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day).
