Mercedes-AMG has entered the realm of games with the introduction of their eSports team. The brand has selected four lucky gamers to represent them at the world stage. Last week, Mercedes announced the team’s formation and their plans to take part in the 2018 F1 eSports Series. Professional gamers from around the world will go head to head with each other to win the first prize.

The first lad picked by Mercedes for their eSports team is Brendon Leigh, a professional British gamer. He has won the first edition of the eSports Series. Alongside him is his colleague Harry Jack, who has made a name for himself by winning countless league titles. The other two ‘drivers’ are Patryk Krutyi from Poland and Hungarian Dani Bereznay, both of them have earned several professional titles.

Mercedes-AMG means business with these young gamers. They will be formally provided with a game station in the AMG Formula 1 building, where they will sharpen their skills for the impending competition. The one of a kind facility in Brackley has a Driver-In-Loop Simulator, which will help these gamers learn the true art of the trade from skilled F1 engineers. The lucky gamers will also have a free pass to the Performance Center, where their overall health will be looked after.

The premises is under construction at the moment and will be completed soon, before the start of the racing event in October.
