A British tourist in Dubai racked up DH170,000 over speeding fine in 3 hours on a rented Lamborghini Huracan. The supercar was rented on July 30 and the fines were issued on July 31 between 2:30 am and 6:00 am. Most of the fines were recorded on Shaikh Zayed road where the driver was caught driving at 240 km/h.
The rental company has to pay these huge fines because all the fines were issued against the vehicle, not the driver.
The speed limit on Shaikh Zayed road is 120 km/h and the fine progressively increases as the driver exceeds the maximum speed limit.
