A relatively new hypercar brand which goes by the name Milan Automotive has surfaced in Austria and we got impressed by their first car, the Milan Red. The Red supercar’s engine can produce 1,300 horsepower and that is excluding the hybrid output.
Underneath its hood is a 6.2-liter quad turbo V8, mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission that transfers power over to the rear wheels. Considering these specs and the car’s weight of 2,866 pounds, the 0-62 mph sprint in 2.47 seconds is highly impressive. The hypercar will have three distinct driving modes that will allow drivers to unleash its true potential. Since the car is inspired by the Red Kite bird, its driving modes have interesting names: Glide, Hunt, and Attack.
Most exterior parts are made from carbon fiber including the body panels, rear-frame structure, and the monocoque. Interestingly, the Milan Red will be the first production legal car to have carbon fiber reinforced plastic double wishbone suspension (CFRP).
Milan Automotive was registered just last year as a company but even before the brand was formed, its founders were testing and building extremely fast prototypes. With their first car, they hope to make a lasting impression by offering unique customization options to its customers. Only 99 units of Milan Red will be built while 18 have already been sold at a price of $2.6 million.
