Cadillac is ceasing production of ATS-V compact sports sedan this year’s end. However, the automaker has retained the ATS-V Coupe, which will cost more than the outgoing 2018 model. A report published by Cars Direct last week stated that the 2019 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe will be $4,000 pricier than the 2018 model, meaning customers will have to pay a total of $68,790 for the car.

The new ATS-V gets the previously available Carbon Fiber Package as standard. The package costs an extra $5,000 for the outgoing model. Other than that, the exterior has received several other upgrades such as a bigger spoiler, refreshed hood vent and rear diffuser.

The extra price, however, adds nothing in the powertrain department. The 2019 ATS-V has the same 3.6-liter dual turbo V6 that makes 464 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque with the help of a six-speed manual transmission. Customers can also opt for an eight-speed automatic transmission by paying $2,000 extra.

The ATS-V Coupe is likely to follow the fate of the ATS-V sedan after the 2019 model year because Cadillac has made plans to revamp its brand appeal. Under its new plan, the brand will replace the ATS, XTS and CTS models from its lineup and bring out two new sedans in their place. The new sedans might go under the CT3 and CT4 names.

We have no details regarding the release date of the 2019 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe. The current model starts at AED 183,500.
