The 2019 Porsche Macan was revealed on Wednesday in Shanghai and again the SUV has received quite a few upgrades. The Macan has been Porsche’s trump card for the past few years, with 97,000 units of the SUV sold in 2017. Seeing its popularity, Porsche has upped their game by introducing performance upgrades as well as visual enhancements.

The German automaker has not released any intimate details as of yet but they did say that the performance figures will be better than the ones boasted by the outgoing Macan. The 2018 Macan’s premium model makes 440 hp using a V6 engine teamed up with dual turbochargers.

The exterior has been changed but we couldn’t find all the improvements to the design except the addition of a few sporty lines and LED head and tail lamps. The new 20- and 21-inch wheels have also gotten a fresh pattern.

Inside, a new 11-inch touchscreen infotainment system graces the center console. This new system has advanced technologies like voice activation, navigation with traffic updates through ‘Here Cloud’ and an Offroad Precision app that registers off-road driving data.

The 2019 Porsche Macan will also have the latest driving assist features to aid drivers in everyday driving situations. It will hit Chinese markets first later this year while the deliveries for the U.S will start in early 2019.

We are not sure when it will arrive in the UAE. The price of the 2018 Porsche Macan starts at AED 196,400.
