The Chinese electric car market is booming and new brands like Gyon are going to try their luck. Gyon is an electric car start-up, which is part of the Sitech division of FAW group. The brand will formally release its first model on August 8. They have released a teaser image which shows that the vehicle will probably be a sedan.
The Chinese company has partnered up with the American company Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters to design their cars. Gaffoglio has extensive experience in designing prototypes and concept vehicles for various major marques. It will be in direct competition with the likes of Tesla, as they will focus their resources on making high-performance vehicles.
The Chinese company stated that their first car will go from naught to 62 mph in 4.0 seconds and it will be able to travel 310 to 434 miles on a single charge. What’s more, the sedan will have an automated driving system borrowed from Bosch. This system, as the automaker believes, is the best in the world at the moment.
Gyon’s first car will be launched in Los Angeles by Sitech CEO and COO.
