Hennessey Performance has come up with a 1,000 horsepower Cadillac CTS-V. The regular CTS-V makes an impressive 640 hp but Hennessey always wants more from their project cars, so they built the HPE 1000 version which makes 1,000 horsepower and 966 lb-ft torque and it sounds like a monster.
The HPE 1000 Cadillac is capable of reaching from naught to sixty in just 2.9 seconds, while a quarter mile takes only 10.2 seconds. That too at a mind-boggling 135 mph. Hennessy conducted quite a few operations on the CTS-V’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8 powertrain to make it capable of expelling the power of 1000 horses.
The modifications include a larger supercharger and new pipework that extends to the exhaust tip. The fueling system and the engine’s internal parts have been replaced with better alternatives. Among the changes in this department are the installation of a new camshaft, valves, lifters, and pushrods. The ECU also gets some tuning while the transmission has been replaced with an 8-speed automatic.
With these enhancements, the 1,000 horsepower Cadillac CTS-V can reach the 200-mph milestone. And while that is a magical number, it could not be possible without making a few aerodynamic adjustments.
Those looking for a little less power can go for the 757 horsepower CTS-V from Hennessey. The price of the regular CTS-V is AED 315000 in the UAE. The performance version will definitely charge a lot more than this.
