The all-new 2019 Renault Duster has arrived in the Middle East donning a contemporary and strong appearance. While the SUV is already available in Lebanon and Egypt, its sale in the UAE and Saudi Arabia will start in September. Since its initial release in 2010, the automaker sold 2.45 million SUVs.
The Duster has been updated with soft curves and robust looks. The interior has also been revamped to provide a more comfortable driving experience.
“Reinventing an icon like the Duster was an enormous, yet inspiring challenge for the design team, the aim being to carry over the strengths that helped the original become such a hit while taking a fresh look at the rest. The All-New Duster and its entirely redesigned exterior and interior are the signs that they achieved just that. Thanks to its higher beltline and the impression that the front and rear have been widened, the All-New Duster comes across as more forceful and its SUV calling is even more apparent.” Commented Laurens van den Acker – SVP, Corporate Design, Groupe Renault.
The 2019 Renault Duster gets 17-inch large wheels, front and rear skid plates along with an aluminum roof. Inside, Renault has Hill Descent Control, Multiview camera and Blind Spot Warning, 4×4 monitor, automatic air conditioning, Remote Engine Start (GCC only), seven-inch touchscreen tablet and Renault smart card with keyless entry system.
Customers can choose between two engines. The standard Renault Duster comes equipped with a 1.6L gasoline engine which is mated to a CVT automatic transmission. The 2.0L engine is mated to a 4×4 automatic transmission for supreme offroad driving.
We didn’t get any word about the price but considering the current Duster starts at AED 49,900, we believe the new model will sell at a higher price.
