Just one more day and we will be seeing Saudi women driving first time in the Kingdom. The historic move was made on the order of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who is bringing reforms in the system in an effort to modernize the country.

As Saudi Police department has issued thousands of driving licenses to women recently, we believe to see a large number of women getting behind the wheels revoking their dependence on private chauffeurs and saving their money.

“It’s a relief,” Najah Al Otaibi, a senior analyst at pro-Saudi think-tank Arabia Foundation, told AFP. “Saudi women feel a sense of justice. They have long been denied a basic human right which has kept them confined and dependent on men, making it impossible to exercise a normal life.”
