On 8th June, the German automaker celebrated 70 years of the Porsche sportscar in a grand exhibition organized at the Porsche Museum. Dignitaries including the Minister President of the state of Baden-Württemberg, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Steffen Bilger and representatives from different areas of politics, business and IT attended the ceremonial opening along with other guests from the community. The event was a memorable day dedicated to appreciating the grandeur and contribution of the famous auto brand across the globe.

“With this exhibition celebrating the anniversary of our brand, we are breaking completely new ground”, Achim Stejskal, Director of the Porsche Museum, points out. “For the first time, we have completely re-designed our entire exhibition area, which covers more than 5,600 square metres”.

The Porsche 356 “No. 1” Roadster achieved on this very day in 1948 its general running license. Since that day, the automaker has been working hard to deliver comfortable and innovative driving experiences for its customers. Over the years, it has become a noteworthy brand reflecting awe-inspiring ingenuity, design creativity and functional competency through its automotive products.

The special exhibition celebrating the 70 years of the Porsche sportscar showcased 75 top products from the 1948 Porsche 356 “No. 1” Roadster to the new and more elegant, all-electric Porsche Mission E. The anniversary celebrations provide a lucid insight into the evolution of the brand from 1948 till date. It highlights state of the art technologies and techniques used by Porsche to create amazing sports cars that have been labeled as remarkable ‘legends’ in the auto world.

The special exhibition will be held until January 6, 2019.
