Ferrari has revealed a one-off sports car termed Ferrari SP38 that sent shockwaves throughout the car world. Some have even gone as far as calling it the best-designed car to come out of Ferrari factories. The sports car takes it chassis, transmission and other inspiration from the 488 GTB.
Ferrari has designed the car to meet “the specific vision of a client with a deep passion for racing while expressing all the beauty and innovation inherent in Ferrari’s road cars,” said a spokesperson.
Unsurprisingly, the 3.9-liter dual turbo V8 engine is also adopted from the 488 GTB. Furthermore, the design takes its inspiration from various classic Ferraris like the F40 and the 308 GTB in the form of its unique front bumper. The rear engine cover has an attractive appearance with its three-slat design.
The interior has bespoke work which will be different from any of the Ferraris ever designed. Photos regarding the interior are yet to be released.
Sadly, the Ferrari SP38 is not for sale and no other like this will be made. However, for excited Ferrari fans, the company is showcasing the car at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este today.
