The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon raised quite a few eyebrows when it was released. The machine is worthy of the hyper-car name, thanks to its demonic acceleration. Hennessy Performance took that and juiced it up with steroids to create the SRT Demon Hennessey HPE1000.

The Demon rushes from 0 – 60 mph in 2.3 seconds tearing up the quarter mile in under 10 seconds, while the Hennessey’s maniacal Demon hits 60 mph in 1.9 seconds completing the quarter mile in 9.14 seconds.

Hennessey clocked in the figures during a test run on their own track earlier this month. Not only did The HPE1000 beat the Deamon’s quarter-mile drag record it did so at 152 mph against the stock Demon’s 140 mph. Under the hood of the Hennessey’s SRT Demon is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 1,035 hp and 948 lb-ft of torque, which is a considerable improvement in terms of power (additional 195 hp and 231 lb-ft of torque). Hennessey Performance achieved this by adding a larger supercharger of 4.5-liter and improving the fuel injection system, the air intake, throttle body, and the exhaust heads.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Hennessey HPE1000 will make only 50 examples which will come with a 1-year/12,000-mile limited warranty. Of course, it will wear a hefty price tag over the Demon’s original price of $86,000.
