China is one of the largest vehicle markets of the world. All automakers race to introduce their newest and best models every year in China. The prestigious Beijing Auto Show serves as the stage where global marques showcase their upcoming vehicles and try to get public’s attention. Just like every year, this year at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show both local and global vehicle brands will exhibit high-end vehicles riddled with cutting-edge technologies. Some vehicles that will make it to the 2018 Beijing Auto Show, have already been released worldwide and await only a release in the Chinese market. For other manufacturers (mostly Chinese), it will be their first outing. Although, we can’t discuss all the vehicles that will be uncovered during the 2018 Beijing Auto Show, I am going through some exciting vehicles below:

BMW iX3

The BMW iX3 is one example of the vehicles that will have a formal reveal at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. BMW has released two preview images of the SUV, that is built to compete against Jaguar I-Pace, earlier this year and announced that the SUV will go on sale in 2019 after it is formally unveiled at the auto show. Spy photographers have already caught BMW’s first ever all-electric SUV undergoing tests, so it is not a big surprise.

BMW M2 Competition

The luxury sedan made headlines even before its unveiling, courtesy of a brochure leak. Thankfully, BMW did not prolong the matter, as they made an official release right before the car’s formal debut in Beijing. We know that the BMW M2 Competition houses a powerful S55 dual turbocharged engine, which is also found in the M3, and makes 405 horsepower. That is a 40 horsepower better than the older model.

Hybrid Kinetic Group K350 and H500

In partnership with Italian Design Company Pininfarina, Hybrid Kinetic Group is going to debut two new vehicles at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. The electric vehicles will make use of a micro-turbine range-extender technology developed by the duo to enhance the mileage in the K350 and the H500 models. While the K350 is an SUV, the H500 is a sedan. Both the models follow other models in the lineup like the HK GT Coupe, H600, K550 and K750 SUV, all manufactured by the Hong Kong based marque.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been designed to fit the cheapest bracket in the Mercedes range. The sedan is all set to lock horns with the Audi A3 after its release. And Mercedes fans would be happy to know that the car has been uncovered before the show starts.

MG X-Motion

A Chinese creation we are anxiously waiting for is the X-Motion by MG. The SUV is a concept vehicle that will act as an inspiration for the production model set to be released in 2019. Finally, we learned that even though there is no plan as of yet, the SUV might make it to British markets in future.

XEV LSEV

This small smart car is the first vehicle produced using a 3-D printer. Hence, it makes its way on our list. The XEV LSEV will debut in Beijing and go to production as a 2019 model. Although, parts like window glass, tires and the chassis are not 3-D printed, the rest of the car is, making it extremely lightweight.

We have provided you with a preview of the type of vehicles that will be shown at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. In order to learn more and see the rest of the collection, you’d have to wait until the show starts.
