The 2018 Beijing Auto Show is going to happen this week and it seems Buick couldn’t contain the excitement. The Buick Enspire concept has been revealed before it makes its debut in China. The all-electric SUV has a design entirely different from other Buick vehicles. Slim headlights and taillights, combed back roof and a prominent wing on top of a blue grille, make the Enspire stand apart.
The interior cabin tells a similar story, as it has also been designed very differently with a futuristic approach in mind. A digital instrument cluster, 5-G internet integration, a unique infotainment system that blends seamlessly into the dash, and an augmented reality display system speak volumes of the technology featured in the Buick Enspire.
The power under the hood is also welcoming as the all-electric concept makes around 550 hp and rushes from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds while the battery lasts for 370 miles. This might not seem fast compared to its most befitting rival SUV, the Tesla Model X, which does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, but the figures are impressive considering the Buick Enspire concept is an SUV. Furthermore, the Enspire charges to 80% battery capacity in 40 minutes using a fast wireless charging.
Buick has geared up to introduce more electric vehicles in the coming years. The company has planned to introduce four EVs by 2020 and set up a new platform by 2021 under which 11 vehicles will be introduced. Buick is aiming to go big and green for the future as it also plans to sell 1 million electric vehicles every year by 2026.
