MG Motor is ready to debut its new MG X-Motion Concept SUV at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show. However, before that, they have published a teaser images providing a glimpse of the SUV’s side profile, front grille, headlight, and the tail light.
The MG X-motion Concept SUV takes design inspiration from the E-Motion electric sports concept which was previewed last April. Reports indicate the MG X-Motion Concept SUV will share its powertrain with the Roewe RX8, which carries a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 221 horsepower and 266 lb.-ft of torque.
The MG X-Motion will slot above the ZS and the GS SUV and will most likely be sold in other countries as well other than China. An official representative of MG Motor mentioned in an interview that the X-Motion might arrive in the United Kingdom as well, however, the final decision is still pending.
The GS Midsize SUV which was launched in September last year became the first Chinese car to be awarded five-star ANCAP safety rating. Hopefully, the MG X-Motion will boast a number of advanced safety features as well.
More details we can reveal as the Beijing Motor Show kicks off on April 25th.
