Mercedes is working on the new Mercedes-AMG A35 model which will bridge the gap between the A45 AMG and the non-AMG A-Class models.

Talking to Car and Driver, AMG boss Tobias Moers mentioned that the company will soon release the Mercedes AMG A35 pumping out 300 horsepower which will be sold as both hatchback and sedan. The A35 will be challenging the likes of Audi S3 and the BMW M235i.

Reports also indicate the Mercedes A35 which has been termed as ‘A45’s little brother’ by Moers, will make its debut after the arrival of the standard A-Class Sedan. It will be previewed at the Beijing Motor Show in China.

Under the hood, the new A35 is expected to boast a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine which will offer 335 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. As for the range-topping A45, not much has been revealed except it will spawn a new engine churning out more than 400 horsepower and will easily outrun the Audi RS3 in terms of performance.

Both A35 and A45 AMG will arrive sometime in 2019, however, we cannot confirm anything regarding the pricing structure or the availability in UAE.
