The 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 is an off-road marvel which combines advanced technology, aggressive aesthetic design and loads of cargo space to seep into consumer’s hearts.
“The 2019 Sierra AT4 is designed for the customer who wants an elevated presence on the road and the capability to venture off life’s beaten path,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global GMC. “It’s also the beginning for the AT4 brand, which will be seen on every vehicle in our lineup in the next two years.”
To be one of the best in the off-road market, GMC has fitted the Sierra AT4 with off-road tuned Rancho monotube shock absorbers, 18-inch solid rims with all-terrain tires that are upgradeable to 20-inch option and 2-inch suspension lift. The Driver Assist features include the Hill Descent Control, Traction Select System, Surround Vision and more.
In the aesthetic department, the 2019 Sierra creates a strong presence with its dark exterior and intricate detailing work. While the rear and front bumpers match the body color, the grille is coated in black chrome and adorned with Sierra’s LED-lit signature to make it stand out. The looks are completed with hints of red thrown in for a bold and confident appearance.
The dark color theme follows inside, which is evident from the darkly textured aluminum steering wheel, center stack and sill plates. The leather seats are contrasted with Jet Black and Kalahari color while being embossed with AT4 emblems.
A 5.2-liter V8 comes standard, however, a 6.2-liter V8 and a new Duramax 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel are optional with a 10-speed automatic transmission allowing seamless shifting while powering the 4 wheels. The new engines incorporate Dynamic Fuel Management which enables them to optimize cylinder usage, which means depending on the requirement, it can use any number of cylinders.
The 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 with its large cargo space of 63 cubic feet will roll out in markets this fall. For the ongoing models, click here.
