The Gathering is a society of brands that have a cult-like following and Jeep has become the first ever automotive brand to be graced with the title of Cult Brand for 2018. The event was held in Banff, Alberta, where eight brands and their CEOs were congratulated for their unwavering commitment toward building brands that are renowned worldwide.
Talking at the event, Jeep’s spearhead Mike Manley said, “Having the Jeep brand acknowledged as a Cult Brand Honoree is a testament to the people, who since 1941, have dedicated themselves to building the world’s most capable SUVs, whose off-road capability is second to none.”
“The global Jeep community is like no other. There is no other automotive brand that is so instantly recognizable and woven into the history of its home nation yet recognized around the world, and one that is protected with such a passion by its owners, fans, and followers.” He said further.
The Gathering is an exclusive society formed in 2013 to recognize and admire the methods and policies of successful brands worldwide that have acquired the solid support of their customers throughout the years. Jeep has been a house brand for 75 years representing some of the best SUVs ever produced. From compact SUVs to large off-roaders, Jeep has made all of them, and their products are widely acclaimed worldwide.
Promoting this claim is the Jeep Compass, which was recently released in the Middle East. The SUV is a four-wheel drive classic reminiscent of older Jeep models, but with added safety features according to current safety standards.
The Compass has a five star EuroNCAP rating and a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS in the USA. The SUV is powered by a 2.4-liter Tigershark engine pumping out a power of 172 horses and generating 237 NM of torque while being teamed with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The Compass can accommodate 5 people with ease. The cargo area complements the interior. The rear seats are foldable and the cargo floor is height adjustable to make way for extra cargo and fit long things like surfboards. The customization options in the Compass and the premium feel are a few reasons Jeep earned the Cult Brand accolade.
