Audi announced its grand electrification plan last year and recently we got to know that the automaker will be adding a high-performance EV dubbed Audi e-Tron GT to the lineup which will be a part of the roadmap.
The e-Tron GT will be designed by the company’s performance Sport division. It will be based on the Porsche Mission E Platform and will be built alongside the E-Tron Quattro which was previewed at the Geneva Motor Show last week.
The teaser sketch reveals the Audi e-Tron GT is a sleek four-door car with a fast-back design and huge wheels. The front sharp headlights and a sculpted bumper can also be seen. The company has confirmed that the production of the e-Tron GT will begin sometime in 2020, however, information regarding the powertrain and pricing is scarce right now.
As for the e-Tron Quattro, the luxury-class sport SUV will be equipped with a total of three electric motors offering a combined 320 kW and 800 Nm (590 lb.-ft) of torque. The SUV will be capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h. The e-Tron Quattro will start from 80,000 euros (approx. $100,000).
