The Honda Urban EV concept was first showcased last year at the Frankfurt Auto Show and now the automaker displayed it at the Geneva Show. Honda has confirmed that the production version of the Urban EV concept will arrive in Europe next year, however, it may not go on sale in the U.S.
Compared to the concept version, a few changes will be made to the production model. For example, the cabin will feature five-seats instead of four and the front dash will boast a traditional design. Furthermore, the dash-wide display as seen on the concept will most likely be removed.
Nevertheless, the exterior design of the Honda Urban EV concept will not change much. The retro shape, which is based on the first-gen Honda Civic, received a good feedback forcing the automaker to not make too many modifications.
Powering the Honda Urban EV will be an electric drivetrain, however, not much is known currently regarding the specifications. The automaker did mention that the Urban EV will carry a high-density lightweight battery pack. Reports indicate it will offer a range of up to 155 miles (250km).
More details regarding the hatchback will be unveiled soon.
