The new Volvo V60 Family Estate has finally been unveiled by the automaker and it boasts some impressive new updates and enhancements.
The new Volvo V60 rides on the Volvo Cars’ Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform which is the same platform also underpinning the new XC60 and other cars. With the SPA platform, the automaker has been able to add a number of luxurious features to the V60 and also improve the estate’s interior capacity and driving capability.
The Volvo V60 gives multiple engine choices including two hybrid options including T6 Twin plug-in hybrid unit which offers 340 horsepower and the T8 Twin plug-in hybrid that delivers 390 horsepower. Both models feature an all-wheel drive.
Besides hybrid powertrains, the new Volvo V60 is available with two petrol engines, the T5, and the T6. Those who prefer diesel units can opt for the D3 or the D4 units.
The Volvo V60 also Family Estate encompasses a number of safety facilities such as auto-brake technology, pedestrian detection system, oncoming lane mitigation, run-off-road mitigation, and steering assist systems. Cross traffic alert system is available as an option.
The cabin offers a range of updated technologies including a high-end infotainment display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and 4G connectivity.
