The new Volvo V60 wagon has already been showcased in Stockholm, and now the CEO of the company, Hakan Samuelsson, has posted a tweet giving us a glimpse of the new 2019 Volvo S60 sedan indicating its imminent arrival. Please note both these vehicles (2018 models) are also being built by Polestar.
Although the 2019 Volvo S60 is wearing too much camouflage we can still notice it closely resembles the V60 wagon. The front fascia is almost similar, however, at the back, the V60 being a wagon has a different tailgate with a trunk lid. The interior of the S60 sedan should also be similar to the V60 wagon.
The 2019 Volvo S60 will be built at the company’s new factory located just outside of Charleston, South Carolina.
Powering the S60 sedan will most likely be a 250-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a supercharged and turbocharged 316-horsepower, four-cylinder with all-wheel-drive. The plug-in hybrid version might also be added to the lineup later.
The exact reveal date of the S60 has not been announced yet but reports suggest it will be showcased at the New York International Auto Show by the end of March, whereas, the V60 will make its world debut next week at Geneva Motor Show.
