Alpine automobile plans to launch the new stripped down version of its Alpine A110 sports car at the Geneva Motor Show along with the more luxurious variant called ‘Légende’.

Detailed information has not been revealed but we do know that the lighter version will weigh only 1080kg and will follow a ‘minimalist approach’. We believe heavier cabin components will be replaced with lighter options and the sports car may even lose some luxury amenities.

Powering the Alpine A110 will be the same turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing 249 bhp and 236lb ft of torque. Reports indicate the A110’s double wishbone suspension system will be enhanced too for an improved handling.

Also present at the show will be the range-topping Légende version which will be equipped with high-end luxurious features such as leather seats and an upgraded chassis system. This variant will also be powered by the same 249 bhp engine.

Besides these two variants, Alpine may soon expand the line-up with new models offering better performance and a higher power output. The company also plans to open its first dealership in the United Kingdom after the Geneva Motor Show.

We cannot confirm at the moment when the Alpine A110 will arrive in the Middle East.
