We already know that the production version of the BMW 8-Series is making its debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. However, reports now indicate that another variant, the BMW M8 Gran Coupe concept will most likely be showcased at the event as well.

The news was broken at BMW Blog explaining that the automaker will use BMW M8 Gran Coupe for a design study, meaning most of the technical details will be hidden. Nevertheless, we expect the BMW M5’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine to power the Gran Coupe concept. The report also states the engine will be mated to the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, which will allow it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds.

BMW might not reveal details regarding the Gran Coupe concept, so we would have to wait for the Geneva Motor Show 2018 to get more information. However, this isn’t the first time we got to know about the Gran Coupe concept; last year too, reports surfaced on the internet regarding its launch in late 2019.

The 2018 Geneva Motor Show will kick off on March 6th, 2018.
