The Croatian electric supercar maker Rimac will unveil their second concept car, dubbed the Rimac Concept Two, at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The company released a teaser video earlier this year showing the exterior design of the hypercar, ahead of its launch.
This brand-new vehicle has been in the works at Rimac headquarters for a while now and viewing the launch of the Tesla Roadster, the company has had to make changes to make their car more appealing to customers.
Through a reliable source, the battery statistics for the vehicle have been unearthed. The Concept Two will host a 120-kWh battery providing it with a longer range than the Concept One’s 205 miles for a single charge. Interestingly, the vehicle will have level 4 autonomy, which means it will be able to drive itself without any assistance from a human driver. An impressive claim, however, given the success of the Rimac Concept One. To aid its efforts, the automaker received a huge 30 million Euro investment from China’s biggest battery maker, Camel Group in 2017.
The Rimac Concept One did extremely well with its 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 221 mph. Increased competition from the Tesla Roadster means Rimac’s 2018 entry will be something to look out for.
