The 2018 Electric Vehicle Road Trip (EVRT) has been initiated at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) where a convoy of electric cars has set out on a 9-day long journey across the UAE and Oman. During the trip, they will cover 1,217 km distance.
The 2018 Electric Vehicle Road Trip is an endeavor of a few inspiring personalities including Suhail Al Mazroui, Minister of Energy and Industry; and Global EVRT’s Mobility Conference host, Nicki Shields, Scientist & Presenter at Formula E, CNN.
On this occasion, the organizers pledged to fast-track the adoption of electric cars to eliminate carbon emission effects.
The organizers have also helped install 8 electric car charging stations across the UAE and Oman to help the EVs charge up along the way.
