The 2019 Kia Forte sedan has been revealed by the automaker at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show packing some impressive new updates and revised powertrain.
Kia claims some of the styling cues on the new 2019 Forte have been inspired from the Stinger. The rear-deck has been shortened giving the sedan a more fastback sort of look. The rear-profile resembles somewhat of the Kia Sportage owing to the thin strip connecting the taillights.
Talking about size, the 2019 Kia Forte’s length has been increased by 3.2 inches, making it 182.7 inches long and obviously more spacious compared to the predecessor models. The trunk size has been increased to 15.1 cubic feet as well. Similarly, the width and height of the car have also been slightly enlarged.
On the inside, the standard equipment includes an 8.0-inch touch display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity. The optional features include full LED lights, Harman Kardon premium sound system, wireless phone charger and more. The 2019 Kia Forte also offers a number of latest safety features such as blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision-avoidance assist and more.
Powering the 2019 Forte is a 2.9-liter I-4 engine paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT and developing 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque.
It is expected to go on sale later this year.
