The new Bentley Bentayga V8 has been revealed by the automaker ahead of its official debut which is likely to take place next week at the 2018 North American International Auto Show.
The Bentley Bentayga V8 is powered by a phenomenal 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine capable of producing 550 horsepower and 568 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered via an 8-speed automatic transmission system allowing the Bentayga to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 180 mph. On the other hand, the W-12 Bentayga does 0 to 60 mph in about 4.0 seconds and has a top speed of 187 mph.
The Bentley Bentayga diesel variant is also powered by a V8 unit but that will not be available in the United States. The diesel version offers 429 horsepower and 664 lb.-ft of torque and can hit the 60mph in 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 168 mph. Additionally, the Bentley Bentayga hybrid model is also under development, however, details regarding its powertrain have not been disclosed.
Talking about the interior, the new Bentley Bentayga V8 offers luxurious hand-crafted materials and improved technologies. The tech package includes a new off-roading system, 8.0-inch touchscreen display and more.
The automaker did not reveal when the new Bentayga will make its way to the showrooms. The starting price is expected to be around $230,000.
