Looking to buy an insane 800-horsepower electric supercar? Well, check out this new Genovation Extreme Electric (GXE) sports car that is not just good-looking but remarkably fast as well as expensive.
For those who don’t know, Genovation is a small engineering company based in Rockville Maryland. The Genovation Extreme Electric (GXE) prototype was revealed last year and it was based on the C6 Corvette Z06, however, the production model shares its components with the C7 Corvette Grand Sport. The production model also has some updated components such as a revamped front bumper and round taillights.
Under the hood, the Genovation Extreme Electric supercar carries two electric motors collectively producing 800 horsepower and 700-lb.-ft of torque. The electric motors are installed in a way to ensure 50:50 weight distribution. It includes a standard automatic transmission; however, a 7-speed manual is also available.
The GXR is equipped with a total of five battery packs which provide combined 61.6-kilowatt hours of capacity. The company claims the range is up to 175 miles, whereas the supercar can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds with a top speed of 220 mph.
Only 75 units will be built and each of them will cost $750,000. The deliveries will start sometime in 2019.
