The state-of-the-art BMW 8-Series coupe has been leaked by Bimmerpost forum recently showing an extremely up-to-date and jittery design. From the photos, we can assume it is an 850i version of the 8-Series sporting an M Performance body kit. The pics also give a good idea of its interior elements.
On the front, we can see an aggressive signature kidney grille with thick chrome-plated bars. Those who have seen BMW 8-Series concept, which was revealed last year, would find the leaked car closely similar to that.
BMW is currently testing prototypes of both 8-Series Coupe and 8-Series Convertible. We also have reports about a fastback sedan version dubbed as 8-Series Gran Coupe.
Once in the market, the 8-Series will substitute BMW 6-Series Coupe. The automaker did disclose they will introduce the vehicle this year and we believe the debut might take place at the 2018 Geneva Auto Show. The production-ready version will be out in 2019 as a 2020 model.
CEO Harald Krüger label this car as a “true luxury sports coupe” and a “slice of pure automotive fascination.”
