The New Year’s Eve in Dubai brought so many joys for the spectators as they witnessed the record-breaking Burj Khalifa laser light show and fireworks. With over 1 million attendees, the biggest highlight was the security and organization of the event. Dubai Police reported no accident or injuries, “No accidents or injuries or security breaches were recorded despite a large number of NYE revelers,” told Brigadier-General Abdullah Al Ghaithi, director of security and emergencies.
The director praised the coordination between government and private entities who made the event successful. They worked hard to educate people how they can reach the vantage points to enjoy the festivities.
The spectators were also instructed how they can avoid crowding. The organizing committee was fully prepared to handle any emergency. Fortunately, nothing bad happened during the event.
