2019 will see an advanced voice controlled personal assistant for Hyundai cars, as announced recently by the automaker. The personal assistant is like a ‘smart personal agent’ that unlike traditional systems senses the driver’s requirements beforehand and regulates different features like the cockpit temperature, door locking, sunroof, and the air conditioning system amongst others.
In addition, the personal assistant for Hyundai cars, developed in collaboration with US firm Soundhound using its voice-controlled functionality, will help in suggesting departure schedules based on real-time traffic analysis to allow drivers to arrive at the destination without delay. It will also provide meeting reminders to the drivers and allow them to control the electronic appliances in their homes through voice commands and instructions from their vehicles.
Drivers can also use one sentence for two different commands and the personal assistant will execute the two tasks separately. Drivers can already control their Hyundai vehicle functions through home devices that have compatibility with Amazon Alexa.
