Scheduled for 12th and 13th of January 2018, the 37th Gulf News Fun Drive is back in Umm Al Quwain offering one of the most incredible packages to date!
The idea behind the drive is to venture into the desert and experience its beauty first hand. Initiated in 1986, the event is organized every year, with thousands of people have taken part so far.
The day will begin at 6 am for the participants to meet at the Emirates Motorplex to have breakfast and complete the registration procedure. They will be given goodies comprising of water, one goody bag and lunch for passengers for each vehicle.
At 8 am the lead vehicle will set off followed by all the participants and the organizing team. The 8-hour adventure loop through spectacular scenery will culminate back at the campsite.
The campsite for the 37th Gulf News Fun Drive has every amenity for a comfortable stay including tents, portaloos, and traditional cuisine. And of course, there will also be entertainment options to keep the guests enthralled.
After a well-rested night, the participants will enjoy a fresh breakfast between 7 am and 9 am before heading to their homes.
To register for the 37th Gulf News Fun Drive, proceed to www.gnfundrive.com or visit in person at Gulf News offices in Dubai between 9 am and 2 pm, the Abu Dhabi office between 9 am and 1 pm and the Al Ain office between 9 am and 11 am. The prices are Dh500 for adults and Dh250 for children. The drive is free for children under 4.
Cancellations will be accepted until 24th of December and additional passengers can be enrolled by December 29th. Once registered participants will be added to the published list on December 26th and will receive an email of confirmation. Original IDs must be presented when booking in person and also be brought along on the day of the Drive.
Information packs can be collected from Gulf News offices once disclaimers have been signed and submitted. The timings are: Dubai office from 27th – 29th December from 8 am to 7 pm, Abu Dhabi Office, 27th – 28th December from 8 am to 2 pm and Al Ain 27th – 28th December from 8 am to 2 pm.
Keep in mind that the 37th Gulf News Fun Drive is a physically taxing activity and requires endurance. Participation of young children and seniors is discouraged. There should be no more than 5 passengers in a vehicle including the driver and the vehicle should have GPS system installed.
