After permanent vehicle registration cards in Abu Dhabi, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced permanent vehicle registration in Dubai. However, only taxis, rental vehicles, and government vehicles can enjoy this facility from January 1st, 2018 unlike all vehicle categories offered by Abu Dhabi Police.
Starting next year, the vehicle registration cards won’t be needing renewal albeit electronic cards that would need renewal every year after the vehicle passes the vehicle test. To apply for renewal, the residents can use RTA Dubai Drive app.
