The subsidiary of BMW Group has introduced new Mini Logo which has been reorganized for a more modern look. All MINI vehicles hitting showrooms from March 2018 will feature the new logo. The design of the new logo omits the conventional two-tone, three-dimensional pattern that was a part of every Mini car since the brand’s re-emergence in 2000 under the supervision of the BMW group.
The new pattern projects a flatter visual expression that is marked by key graphic elements. The conventional symbolic winged wheel motif with the brand name inscribed in capital letters on it still remains a part of the new Mini logo.
The flat design is a depiction of the elements of clarity and authenticity, two key highlights of the brand. The elimination of grey hues and three-dimensional tones is meant to project and further substantiate the association of the two key aspects with Mini in the future.
The new Mini logo has already been seen embossed on the Mini Electric Concept car that was revealed at the Frankfurt Auto Show in autumn this year. The brand has already launched their very first plug-in hybrid version which is available for sale in the market while the first Mini electric car is expected to be on sale in 2019.
The presence of the new logo on the Mini electric concept car may also portend the brand’s transition to electric vehicles.
