Lamborghini has finally launched its self-proclaimed fastest SUV, the 2018 Lamborghini Urus last Monday that is capable to achieve 305 km/h top speed. The modern SUV was first displayed at 2012 Beijing Auto Show in concept form featuring some style elements of historic Lamborghini models.

Specifications And Technical Features

The luxury SUV houses a 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged first mounted petrol engine generating 478 kW at 6,000 rpm and a torque 850 Nm. The engine efficiency is augmented by an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission and cylinder deactivation enabling the Urus to use just 12.7 liters of fuel to cover 100 km.

The trick four-wheel-drive system of the 2018 Lamborghini Urus featuring three differentials comprising active torque-vectoring rear units and Torsen self-locking central units is a standout attribute. It also includes powerful ceramic brakes (440×40 mm at the front, 370×30 mm at rear) attached to the axles that are good enough to decelerate the 2,197kg SUV from 100 km/h to zero in mere 33.7m. The tires 285/45 front and 315/40 rear Pirelli P Zero are clamped with 21-inch alloy wheels with optional 23inch rims with 285/35 front and 325/30 rear rubber.

The ground clearance can be raised from 158mm to 248mm whenever required by using the electromechanical active roll stabilization and the five-link suspension with adaptive air springs in the SUV. The Urus comes with seven different drive modes customized for various driving conditions. They include Sabbia (sand), Ego (individual), Sport, Corsa, Neve (snow) and Terra Off-roader.

With a wheelbase of 3,003mm, it measures 5,112mm long, 2016mm wide and 1,638mm tall. The luggage capacity of 616 liters can be easily extended to 1,596 L when tightly packed or stowed.
