The new 2019 Infiniti QX50 Luxury crossover has been officially revealed in Hawthorne, California near the Tesla Design Studio and the Space X headquarters. Although it may be awkward to introduce a gas-powered SUV near the Tesla Design Studio, Infiniti promises that the new QX50’s engine boasts a new technology, which makes the luxury crossover both efficient and more potent.
The 2019 Infiniti QX50 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged l-4 engine which is capable of optimizing its compression ratio during the drive. For example, during a normal drive, the compression ratio is at 14:1 whereas all through heavy acceleration, it changes to 8:1. The turbocharged unit delivers 268 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft of torque and is paired with a CVT transmission.
The 2019 QX50 rides on the new Infiniti-exclusive platform and features a number of impressive technologies such as ProPilot Assist Level 2. On the inside, the luxury crossover sports two large displays. The use of high-quality materials along with leather upholstery enhance the overall opulent feel of the new QX50. The cabin is not just aesthetically designed but also roomy and has adequate head-, leg-, and knee room.
The 2019 Infiniti QX50 is still under production and will be available at the dealerships sometime in 2018.
