The 2019 Subaru Ascent is scheduled to debut next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the automaker has again released a teaser image giving us a hint of what the new CUV will look like.
The 2019 Subaru Ascent is a three-row CUV model. It was first displayed in concept form in April and the new teaser image shows that the headlights don’t resemble the concept. The Ascent showed in the teaser image also appears to be bulkier with a differently proportioned liftgate and D-pillar compared to the concept.
On the inside, we can see that the 2019 Subaru Ascent is equipped with brown leather seats, which conveys the CUV will give a premium luxury feel.
Talking about the size, the 2019 Subaru Ascent will be a large vehicle with a length measuring 198 inches. The interior will definitely be adequate for passengers in all three seating compartments.
Powering the new Ascent will be a turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-four horizontally opposed engine with direct injection. The automaker has not revealed any further specifications. The production of the new Ascent will take place at the Subaru’s plant in Lafayette, Indiana.
The official unveiling ceremony of the new Ascent will take place on November 28 at the L.A. Auto Show.
