Toyota has finally fulfilled the demand of the UAE off-roading community by introducing an Xtreme Kit for the Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser, and the Fortuner. These action-packed Xtreme variants were seen performing during an off-roading activity which took place at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show.

“Following the intense demand of the off-roading community in the UAE, we are proud to introduce a new Xtreme variant to the Toyota Fortuner, bringing it to the ranks of the Land Cruiser Xtreme and FJ Cruiser Xtreme,” said Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors. “The Xtreme modifications not only infuse Waku Doki – Japanese for adrenaline rush –in our legendary off-roaders but also allow them to conquer the most difficult dunes smoothly and effortlessly. Adding on to the enhanced performance that exceeds standard off-road expectations, the Xtreme modifications contribute to an overall adrenaline-fueled experience.”

These Xtreme variants feature a number of upgrades which will allow the vehicle to conquer all sorts of tough landscapes. Talking about the Fortuner Xtreme, it boasts a new and improved body structure and a revised suspension system, which reduces vibrations on rough landscapes, thereby offering a better drive comfort and stable performance. It is powered by a 4.0-liter V6 engine developing 270 horsepower and 38.8kg-m of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The interior includes a rear-view camera, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch display with USB, DVD, Bluetooth, and more.

The Land Cruiser Xtreme comes equipped with a new set of wheels and a Fox suspension setting for a superior off-roading performance. It is powered by a 5.7-liter unit producing 362 horsepower and 54 kg-m torque. Additional features on Land Cruiser Xtreme include 360-degree view camera, Vehicle Stability Control, Active Traction Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Crawl Control, Turn Assist Function, Multi-Terrain Select, a 9” display with navigation and an advanced airbag system.

The FJ Cruiser Xtreme swanks an increased ride height, a Fox suspension system, and a cat-back exhaust system. It is powered by a revamped 4.0-liter V6 engine delivering 270 HP and 38.8kg-m of torque.
