The British auto manufacturer has revealed the all-new Bentley Continental GT3 racecar. The car is in the development phase and will debut at the 2018 Motorsport season.

The new Bentley Continental GT3 racecar is inspired by the new Continental GT road car which is dubbed as the “company’s most advanced road car”, making use of its aluminum structure. The overall weight of the car is less than 1,300 kilograms for improved aerodynamics and track performance.

Bentley’s Director of Motorsport, Brian Gush comments:

“After four years of success with our Continental GT3, we’re excited to reveal our second-generation car. The new car leaves no area or system untouched in the search for even better performance, and the early test results are promising. The new Continental GT road car has proved to be a great starting point for the development of a new racer, and the engineering development work is true to Bentley’s impeccable standards.”

The Bentley Continental GT3 Racecar is powered by a re-engineered 4.0-liter Bentley twin-turbo V8 engine, which delivers more than 550 bhp. The V8 unit boasts a re-designed dry sump system as well as a new intake and an exhaust system.

The exterior modifications on the Bentley Continental GT3 not only enhance the overall muscular persona of the racecar but also improve the aerodynamics for superior downforce. Moreover, a new suspension and braking system have been added to the Continental GT3.

The new Continental GT3 racecar will make its motorsport debut by racing for the opening round of the 2018 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at Monza.

More details regarding performance specifications and the development process will be revealed by the automaker in the coming months.
