BMW is looking forward to refining its current-generation M3 sports sedan by introducing an even faster and more-hardcore version. We are talking about the new 2018 BMW M3 CS, which is scheduled to arrive in the United States next spring.
The 2018 BMW M3 CS will be the first BMW model with the CS badge. The official pictures released by the BMW shows that the M3 CS will make heavy use of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic to keep the overall weight low. The muscular body combined with a sporty front splitter, large rear-diffuser, and exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels add to the overall hardcore persona of the 2018 M3 CS. Moreover, it will weigh 110 pounds lesser than the standard M3.
On the inside, the 2018 BMW M3 CS will include Alcantara and Merino leather upholstery. The standard seats have been replaced with lightweight sports seats from BMW M Catalog. A new engine starter button as well as a sports steering will be added.
Powering the 2018 BMW M3 CS will be a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The power output will be 453 horsepower and 443 lb.-ft of torque.
The production of the BMW M3 CS will be limited to only 550 units.
