Hennessey has been long working on the Venom F5 and it seems the supercar will finally make its debut at the upcoming 2017 SEMA show.
The first chunk of information regarding the Hennessey Venom F5 was disclosed three years back when the automaker announced it is launching a successor to the Venom GT which is powered by a 1,451 horsepower, twin-turbo V8 engine. Hennessey also promised to beat the Bugatti’s top speed of 467 km/h and make the Venom F5, the fastest production car in the world.
Looks like the wait has been over! The company has released new images and a video of the Venom F5, however, the performance details and power output are still a mystery. All we know is that it will boast a longitudinally-mounted twin-turbo V8 engine which will be mated to a single-clutch paddle-shift automatic transmission. The top speed will most likely be around 300 mph.
Hennessey assured that the Venom F5 will use cutting-edge technology in the design, powertrain, chassis and the body. The production of the supercar will take place at the Hennessey headquarters in Sealy, Texas, near Houston.
Just like the Venom GT, the Venom F5 will be built in limited numbers with a hefty price tag.
