Polestar is planning to launch a hybrid performance sports car soon and is teasing its fans with some hints prior to the official debut. A week back, the automaker revealed a teaser image of the car showing just a small part of rear-end, and now a teaser video of Polestar Hybrid sports car has been released. We talked about this debut last month.
The teaser video does not show any detail of the hybrid sports car, rather it straightforwardly tells what the new Polestar hybrid sports car won’t do. For example, the video states that there will be “no overpromising, no compromises, no big data, no millennial strategy,” and the best one, “no bullshit”.
There has been no official word on the powertrain, but reports suggest the sports car will be powered by a hybrid unit consisting of a Volvo 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder unit along with a powerful electric motor. Rumors indicate the power output will be around 600 horsepower and it will be capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds.
We can also expect the hybrid sport’s car to somewhat resemble the Volvo’s concept coupe, which was first displayed in 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
